Milchem Equestrian Centre Dressage Show
Milchem 15/02/2009
Hats off to Una O'Donnell for judging the mammouth entries of test 18 in its entirety from 10am until 2.30pm at the Milchem Equestrian Centre Dressage show on the 15th of February 2009 with fairness and good humour. Ninnie Odenrick did the honours for the remaider of the classes.
Claire Crawford continued her winning ways by placing first and second with Cashel Bay Prince and Ardfry Balmoral respectively in the registered section of Preliminary 18 and also went on to place equal first with both of her mounts in the large arena of Preliminary 19. Ruth Brennan and her chestnut mare, Scarlett, dominated the Junior sections of both Preliminary tests by bringing home the firsts ahead of Eavan Murphy (test 18) and Luke Egan (test 19 ). With the Under 12's competition hotting up, this week it was Jane Field's (Papa Smurf) turn to take home the red, just like her mother, Marjorie Hardiman, did in the unregistered section of 18. With her consistent performer, Creganna Clover, Marjorie scored the highest score of the day, 72.5% in test 18 and also went on to win Novice test 22 ahead of all comers.
Johnny Glynn brought his eventer, Saniki, to top the class in Novice 38 in front of Sana Tansey (Lissamber) and David Walsh (Mr.Mikey). Whilst, Johnny's wife, Ann kept the red rosettes in the family by winning both Elementary classes with the Danish bred Hojvang's Akiro.
Geoffrey, or Eurisco as he is known on the eventing circuit, won Medium 61 for Elaine Murphy with Marian Slattery on Nick of Time in second place.
